I am not the fanciest or best cook, but I do love it.
One of my favorite and easiest go-to dishes is this pasta my sister showed me how to make about 15 years ago. It is basically a bruschetta served over fresh pasta. I made it last night in a pinch (starving hungry) with limited ingredients in the fridge, I always seem to have Penne on hand. In the summer, I grow my own basil and have tomatoes in my kitchen garden. I also live a stones throw away from an organic farm, so finding heirloom tomatoes is very easy.

tulip love
Bethlehem, CT
Just a few images of the the tulips in bloom here. I shot them for Simple Kitchen gardens new website (its under construction but you can check back and view some more images once everything gets growing). They stretch along the stone wall the entire length of the gardens (on both sides). I am so lucky that I live across the street from an organic farm, I'm in heaven right now.

hello september
Bethlehem, CT
Hello fall! After a brutal summer heat wave that lasted up until about a week or so ago, I welcome fall (just a officially a week away!) I spy an orange leaf, a ripe pumpkin, and a huge sunflower. I had a blast at the Bethlehem fair last weekend, treated myself to a deep fried Oreo (don't knock it till you try it). Hello fall, it's nice to see you again. Thanks Simple Kitchen for being my neighbors!
