grand central

Have you ever been a tourist in your own town? I grew up in New York City, and lived there most of my life, and now live just a few hours away. I never did touristy things growing up (I think we took a class trip once on the circle line and to Liberty Island). So for the most part, I saw New York though my parents eyes, and our neighborhood. But for the first time in a very long time, I found myself at Grand Central station. I had forgotten how beautiful it is. As I watched people everywhere snapping pictures (above and below me) I realized for the first time (I know, duh) that it is a real landmark. It made me think, how fun it would be to be a tourist in your own city and visit all the places that people go when they come to visit?! What do you think? Also, one thing I noticed and really loved, were how many sweet couples were hugging hello. I love seeing that at train stations. It seems so old-fashioned and  romantic.
